Texas has opened a $350 million grant program aimed at accelerating the development of advanced nuclear energy, positioning the state at the forefront of a growing push to secure reliable, low-carbon power for future demand. The initiative stems from House Bill 14, passed in 2025, which created both the Texas Advanced Nuclear Energy Office (TANEO)
