Sr. Process Safety Engineer, Eni
Dr. Fred Infortunio is a highly accredited engineer with nearly 40 years of experience in the field. He is currently serving as a Senior Process Safety Engineer at Eni US Operating Co. Prior to that he worked for Loss Control Management Services (1995-2008), GE Gasification (2008 – 2012), and Atkins (2013 – 2014). His research interest is safety culture. Infortunio holds copyrights for two routing software programs and copyrights for papers and seminars related to safety culture. He graduated with High Honors and an MBA from Rutgers and a Ph.D. from Argosy University, and is a member of the Society of Professional Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. His specialties include fire protection, risk analysis, and organization planning and development. He is a Certified Safety Professional in Management Aspects.
Captain Hung Nguyen

In 2010, Captain Hung Nguyen, U.S. Coast Guard (retired) led the Joint Department of Homeland Security and Department of the Interior Investigation into the Deepwater Horizon casualty, which resulted in the largest oil spill in the U.S. History. Many of the report’s recommendations have been implemented to improve the offshore oil and gas exploration and production activities.
Following his retirement from the Coast Guard, Captain Nguyen served as a Transportation Security Executive at TSA and Director, Global HSE Programs at Noble Drilling. In these capacities, Captain Nguyen successfully developed and implemented many process safety management tools that enhanced his organizations’ performance excellence.
Captain Nguyen received a Bachelor of Science, Chemistry from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, a Masters of Science, Chemical Engineering from Rice University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Averett College. He was certified as a Federal Executive Service member in 2013.
Production Facilities Manager, Southwestern Energy
Don began his career working on facilities for heavy oil production. This included waterflood, fireflood, steam flood, wellhead compression and primary separation facilities. A relocation expanded his design experience to include high pressure gas facilities, gas plants, and sour gas handling. Don moved to Houston and set up the Engineering & Construction Department for a large mid-sized company and set the first platforms and pipelines in the Gulf of Mexico for the company. A job change ultimately led to setting up the North American Operations Department for one of the super-major companies. Ultimately, Don moved on to work as a Project Manager on a Russian oil tank farm and offshore loading system, heavy oil production and processing facilities in Venezuela, and other facilities around the world. Most recently, Don has been engineering facilities for shale operations including upstream facilities, pumping facilities, wellhead compression, and dual fuel operations.
Rajender Dahiya CSP

Rajender is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from BCSP, USA and has over 22 years of international experience working at various levels in the organizations including; corporate level, major projects and operating plants.
He has worked on numerous major multi-billion dollar projects of oil refineries and petrochemicals industries in Middle East, Canada and USA (Suncor Upgraders Major Projects, Petro-Canada Fort Hills Mining & Upgrader, TOTAL E&P Mining & Upgrader, TransCanada Keystone, BP GEP). He has facilitated/participated in more than 60 PHA/HAZOP reviews.
Rajender has developed/updated and implemented process safety management (PSM) standards, engineering standards, procedures and programs for major oil/gas & petrochemicals projects and operating facilities as per the requirements of OSHA-PSM, EPA-RMP, API, NFPA, CCPS-RBPS and other industry standards & best practices. Inherent safety application in projects and operations is his passion.
Rajender has developed and delivered numerous HSE training programs in the industries. He has trained more than 400 engineers/designers in Inherent Safety in Design and 70 lead engineers in HAZOP facilitation in Canada/USA, in addition to more than a 100 other HSE training worldwide.

Kerry Holmes is an experienced Safety Compliance Specialist with 15 years in the manufacturing and Oil and Gas industries cultivating a safety conscious work environment. His expertise includes overseeing and managing corporate safety programs, development and implementation of safety initiatives as well as ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. As HSE Manager at Weatherford, Kerry is responsible for the production and coordination of all safety training between multiple manufacturing plant sites and regularly auditing procedures for improvement and adequacy. At Weatherford he also works to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Hazmat, internal safety policy, industrial hygiene standards and other manufacturing safety best practices. Michael Heard is an accomplished Process Safety and Risk Engineer with several years of experience in both the oil and gas and chemical industries. Currently he works as a consultant in the Texas area for a number of leading companies such as Hess Corporation, Bechtel, KBR, and CB&I. Major projects Mike has had responsibility for are the Stampede project and the Wheatstone project, as well many other international gas plants. In his role at Director of Development at EPCON, the company received 4 Vaaler awards for software from Chemical Processing Magazine, with 3 of the awards being directly related to fluid flow simulation technology. Ms. Annie Nguyen, Director/Technical Process Safety Engineer of PSRG Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd and PSRG Inc. in Singapore holds a B.S. in Bio-Engineering from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Ms. Nguyen is responsible for managing and supporting safety services to clients in Asia region. She has facilitated a number of PHA studies (HAZOP/HAZID, LOPA, Bowtie etc.) from FEED to Detailed design for clients: Fluor, GE, CB&I, KBR, CPCHEM, etc. She is knowledgeable of Process Safety Management standards (US OSHA, Singapore Standard 506 Part 3). She has been working as lead auditor for Compliance Audits such as Lopez Foods, Noltex, Nova Mocular, Stolthaven Terminal, etc.). Dr. Sonny Sachdeva
Principal Process Safety Engineer, PSRG
Dr. Sonny Sachdeva of PSRG Inc. received her Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in Chemical Engineering and has over 7 years of experience as a Research Scientist and Lecturer in environmental and process safety research. She worked with the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center and Ocean Energy Safety Institute for over 2.5 years and worked on multiple projects related to process and off-shore safety. She has facilitated and scribed in many PHA studies and participated in Process Safety Management Audits with PSRG Inc. She worked on multiple projects with government agencies such as NIOSH, for developing guidelines for emergency responders, BSEE, on conducting forums on shallow water blowouts, Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS), human factors, data reliability, risk management and Ocean Energy Safety Research Roadmap for the 21st century with OESI and NSF for developing fire retardant materials. She has published over 15 journal articles including four review papers and one book chapter.
